Editorial Policy: How We Research & Write

This policy is a contract with readers, not a decoration. It describes how every page on Kerassentials Health is researched, written, checked and corrected.

1. Source hierarchy

When facts conflict, we resolve them in this order:

  1. Current product label and packaging (identity, format, ingredient declaration).
  2. Current vendor checkout and sales page (price, bundles, guarantee, shipping) — treated as vendor-reported and re-verified on a schedule, with verification dates published on the page.
  3. Official vendor support documentation (guarantee mechanics, contact channels).
  4. U.S. government and regulatory sources — NIH, CDC, FDA — for disease background, safety and regulatory status.
  5. Peer-reviewed literature (PubMed-indexed journals) for ingredient and mechanism evidence.
  6. Reputable professional organizations (dermatology and podiatry bodies) for clinical context.

Anything below this hierarchy — other affiliate blogs, video scripts, anonymous forums — may suggest questions but never answers.

2. The three-lane rule

Every claim on this site is labeled, explicitly or by construction, as one of: label fact (verifiable on the product), vendor claim (attributed to the seller and never presented as proven), or independent evidence (sourced to the hierarchy above). An ingredient study is never written up as product proof; where no finished-product trial exists — as with Kerassentials today — every relevant page says so.

3. No fabrication, ever

We do not invent: first-hand testing ("we tried it for 30 days"), customer testimonials, star ratings or review counts (vendor-reported figures appear only attributed as vendor-reported), medical reviewers, lab analyses, or clinical evidence. Our reviews are document-research reviews, and we say that plainly.

4. Authorship and accountability

Content is written by the Kerassentials Health Editorial Team. We publish no fake bylines and no borrowed authority figures. Pages carry an update date; material commercial facts carry a verification date.

5. The affiliate firewall

The site may earn commission from vendor links. The firewall rules: conclusions are drafted before links are placed; no advertiser sees content pre-publication; commission never determines verdict language; and the affiliate disclosure is one click from every page. If a future commercial relationship ever conflicts with a conclusion, the conclusion wins or the page says so.

6. Corrections

Corrections from anyone — readers, clinicians, the vendor — are checked against the source hierarchy and applied promptly, with the page date updated. Material corrections are noted on the affected page. Report issues via the contact page.

7. What we will not publish

Guarantees of ranking or results, fear-based health copy, "miracle" framing, undisclosed sponsored claims, or content written to manipulate search engines rather than inform a buyer. Search visibility is something we try to deserve, as our readers can verify by comparing this site's candor with the category norm.
